Description

The buildings at 3 and 5 Millwood End are a pair of early 18th-century houses, now used as two separate dwellings. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a gabled Welsh slate roof and concrete tiles to the rear. A stone stack is located at the right end, and a later 18th-century brick stack sits on the rear ridge. The houses are arranged in an L-shape, with a rear left wing.

The main elevation has two storeys and a two-window front. Timber lintels cover the 20th-century front door and windows, except for a 19th-century two-light casement window with leaded glazing bars in the top right corner. The rear wing also has two storeys. The first floor of the rear wing is occupied by the dwelling at No.3. A further two-storey, two-window range to the rear, belonging to No.5, is not of particular architectural interest. The interior features thin, chamfered beams.
