Description
These farm buildings, located approximately 50 meters northeast of Ash Hill Farmhouse, date from the late 18th century and were originally stables and a coach house, now used as cattle sheds. They are constructed from squared marlstone with some ashlar dressings and feature Welsh-slate roofs. The buildings have a U-shaped plan. The rear range includes six flat-arched openings of varying widths, each with projecting keyblocks. The left projecting range has two additional openings and a wider one with a lintel, while the shorter range on the right contains two carriage entrances with double doors in its end wall. The roofs are shallow-pitched and hipped. The interiors have not been inspected. These buildings were built to serve a mansion that has since been destroyed.
