Description

This is a house dating from around the early 18th century, with additions from the 19th century at the rear and Victorian alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone with a stone tile roof and stone-coped gable ends. Brick gable-end stacks are also present. The house has a main range with two principal rooms and a central entrance, and a circa 19th-century outshut and wing at the rear.

The south front is symmetrical, featuring a 2:1:2 window arrangement. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows within moulded stone architraves, and an oculus at the centre within a plain stone frame with leaded panes. The ground floor has two 19th-century stone canted bay windows with battlements, along with 4-pane sash windows. A central doorway is present with stone pilasters and an entablature, leading to a panelled and glazed door with a small overlight. A small quatrefoil light in a stone frame, resembling a fire window, is located on the right side of the ground floor. Two 19th-century gabled dormers, featuring shaped bargeboards and 4-pane sash windows, are in the roof. The rear, north-facing side has a lower, gable-ended wing to the left and a single-storey and attic outshut to the right. The interior was not inspected.
