Description
Cornerstones is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a roughcast front and features a gabled stone slate roof, along with a large brick stack at the rear. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The central door, which dates from the early 18th century, has eight panels (two of which are glazed) and is set within a moulded wood architrave. There are 20th-century square and canted bay windows linked by a pantile roof, as well as 20th-century casements on the first floor. The house has a moulded cornice and two roof dormers, which also contain 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
