BURFORD AND UPTON HIGH STREET AND SIGNET (East Side) SP2512 (Enlargement) Burford Grammar School 7/60 Gymnasium (Previously 12.9.55 listed as "House (Boys' School Gymnasium) on SW corner of Church Lane").

House, now used as a school gymnasium. C16, altered; C17 alterations; late C19 restoration; mid-C20 adaptation. Rubble with Cotswold stone roof, coped verges, rubble end chimneys. 2 storeys and attic; 4 hipped dormers, 4 windows on 1st floor, 3-light mullion windows with drips; 2 outer windows on ground floor are 4-light mullion windows with stilted drips. Blocked doorway to left of centre with moulded surround and vestigial drips; formerly a Tudor arched doorway with traceried spandrels, some of which survives. L-plan late C19 wing to rear.
