Description
Upper House is a building dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and features two chimneys, one of which is made of ashlar and has a moulded capping. The back of the building has gabled projections, while one side is faced in stucco. The structure has three storeys and includes seven windows, which are glazing bar sashes with plain architraves. The second floor has only three windows, featuring two-light stone mullions, drip-stones, and leaded casements. The main doorway is adorned with a late 18th century carved wooden pediment that has a fluted frieze and modillions supported by carved consoles, leading to a six-panel door. There is also a side door from the late 17th century, which is studded with strap hinges and has a chamfered surround with a label. Additionally, there is a bread oven projection at the rear of the building.
