Description
Spring Hill Court is a building dated 1680, located on the north-east side of Spring Hill. It features coursed rubble construction and a Cotswold stone roof that is hipped to the right. The building has a 'T'-plan ashlar chimney on the left with a moulded capping. It stands three storeys tall and includes five hipped dormers with leaded casements. The facade has five sets of two windows, which have moulded stone mullions and transoms, along with four glazing bar sash windows located in the two right-hand ground and first-floor windows. There are continuous drip-moulds and relieving arches above the ground and first-floor windows. The entrance doorway is adorned with an architrave, a pulvinated frieze, and a cambered broken pediment, which has been renewed. The door is a reeded six flush panel type. Additionally, there are two oval windows in the left-hand gable and a two-storey 19th-century 'L'-plan extension.
Inside, the staircase features a three-arched hall screen, a moulded string (uncut), turned balusters in a bobbin and reel style, and a dog-leg design with carved pendants and ball-capped newels.
