Description
This building is a house located adjacent to and to the east of number 31 High Street, known as The Burford Woodroom. It is likely from the early 18th century, with some remodelling in the 19th century. The structure features coursed squared and dressed rubble on a plinth, topped with a Cotswold stone roof. There is a truncated end stack on the ridge to the left and an ashlar chimney, capped in brick, possibly serving the adjoining property on the left.
The house has two storeys and three bays. The outer windows on the first floor are sixteen-pane sash windows, while the centre window is a transomed and moulded design, with the liner part partially blocked. The mouldings of the top and liner parts differ. On the ground floor, the outer windows are casements, with the right window set in the moulded surround of a 17th-century mullioned window. The left-hand window on the first floor features a 17th-century style cill and lintel. The central doorway has a 19th-century looking relieving arch, a beaded surround, and a half-glazed door. The return side of the building is rendered and has a projecting gabled break with a different pitch.
