Description

No. 23 High Street is a cottage that underwent mid-19th century remodelling. It is constructed of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and features two ridge chimneys. The building has two storeys and two windows, which are glazing bar sashes with heavy timber lintels. There is a roughly central doorway with a lintel and an architrave that continues to the right, where there is a blocked shop window. The rear of the cottage may be timber-framed. The interior has been altered, with the ground floor south room now functioning as an alleyway and store. It is shown on the Ordnance Survey map as "The Cottage."
