Description

Witney Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with earlier ranges from the late 17th century and early 17th century at the rear. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with an ashlar front and features a gabled concrete tile roof. The building is designed in an L-shape with a rear left wing and has two storeys plus an attic, presenting a three-window range. A round arch frames the six-panelled door, which is topped by a fanlight and a bracketed gabled hood. The windows are C19 three-light casements with flat stone arches above, and there are three C20 hipped roof dormers.

To the right, there is a one-storey late 18th-century service range with a stone slate roof and a Welsh slate roof, which has an outshut at the rear. The two-storey range at the back has a hipped concrete tile roof and connects to a tall late 17th-century two-storey rear wing that features an early 17th-century two-storey bay at the rear. Both rear sections are built from similar materials and have brick end stacks, including an early 17th-century three-light chamfered stone-mullioned window. A C20 door with a porch is located at the rear.

Inside, the late 18th-century range includes panelled doors, cased beams, first-floor fireplaces, and a five-bay butt-purlin roof. The early 17th-century range features a two-bay collar-truss roof with butt purlins, along with an open fireplace and a stop-chamfered beam on the ground floor.
