Description

Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a late 17th century wing at the rear left, a front range built around 1753 (though the date plaque has been removed), and an early 19th century range at the rear. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof, stone end stacks, and a large late 17th century stone end stack on the rear left wing. The building has a U-plan layout with rear wings and is two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a symmetrical five-window range. The front has keyed stone lintels above a late 19th century four-panelled door with an overlight and early 19th century six-pane sash windows, along with two gabled roof dormers.

At the rear, there is a 19th century outshut with a Welsh slate roof, the late 17th century wing is one storey with an attic on the left, and an early 19th century one-storey wing on the right. Inside, the front range features mid 18th century chamfered beams, early 19th century panelled doors and shutters, a stone-flagged floor, and early 19th century quarter-turn stairs with winders set in a mid 18th century frame. The first floor includes mid 19th century fireplaces and grates, and a five-bay collar-truss roof with butt purlins. The late 17th century rear left wing has chamfered beams, winder stairs, and an 18th century bread oven next to a mid 18th century open fireplace with a wooden bressumer, along with a three-bay collar-truss roof featuring butt purlins and curved feet to the principal rafters.
