Description

Exeter House is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of Crown Road, Kidlington. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled roof covered in Welsh slate. The end stacks are finished with stone ashlar and brick. It follows a double-depth plan and is two storeys high with an attic, featuring a symmetrical three-window front. The entrance is marked by a bracketed flat stone hood and a keyed flat stone arch above a C19 six-panelled door with an overlight. The first floor windows are six-pane sashes with keyed stone lintels. A raised, bandy moulded cornice sits below the parapet. C20 dormers have been added to the roof. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
