Description

There are two chest tombs located about 30 yards southeast of the south porch of St Mary's Church in Chipping Norton. These tombs date from around 1790 and form a matched pair. They feature a moulded cornice, rebated corner piers, and shaped inscription panels. The eastern tomb is dedicated to Thomas Gibbs, who died in 1786, while the western tomb is for Richard Gibbs, who died in 1790.
