Description

This is a group of four chest tombs located approximately 3 meters east of the Church of St. Nicholas in Chadlington. They date from the late 18th century and 19th century and are made of limestone and marlstone. The three earlier tombs are rectangular in shape, featuring moulded bases and covers, with the northernmost tomb having recessed corner balusters. The inscriptions on all the tombs are mostly illegible. The lower 19th-century chest tomb does not have any special architectural interest.
