Description
Newbridge Mill is a former millhouse, now a house, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone, featuring coursed rubble except for squared blocks at the front, and has a gabled stone slate roof with a brick ridge stack. The building has an L-plan layout with a rear left wing and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a four-window range. The exterior includes stone segmental arches and flat arches over a 20th-century door in the second bay from the right, as well as over 8-pane sash windows. There are also two small gabled roof dormers that contain 20th-century casements. An early 19th-century two-storey rear range, which has a brick end stack, is attached to the 18th-century rear wing, which is built of similar materials and features a weatherboard right side wall and a brick end stack. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
