Description
This is a late 17th-century house, altered in later centuries. It is located on the north side of West End in Witney. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a gabled concrete tile roof. It has a stone stack on the left end and a brick stack on the right end, arranged in a three-unit plan. The building has two storeys and a five-window front. A mid-19th-century four-panelled door is set within a moulded wood architrave, topped with console brackets supporting a flat hood. The windows include mid-19th-century tripartite sashes and two-pane sashes, all with chamfered timber lintels. There are also 20th-century casement windows to the left. Three late 19th-century gabled roof dormers are present. A late 19th-century rear wing, accessed from the left, extends from No.12A. The interior was not inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
