Description

This property comprises a house, now used as a shop, originally dating to the 17th century and extensively refronted in the late 19th century. It is constructed of limestone, with a mid-19th century stucco facade. The roof is covered with Welsh slate, featuring a brick stack on the left end and a ridge stack, finished in 20th-century brick. The building follows a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. It has a three-window front. A late 19th-century six-panelled door is set within a moulded wood architrave with a cornice. A 20th-century shop window is positioned to the left, and the upper windows are horned eight-pane sashes. There is a gabled roof dormer. To the left is a two-storey range dating back to the 18th century, built from limestone rubble with a stucco front and a gabled stone slate roof. This section includes 20th-century garage doors and eight-pane sashes above. The interior has not been inspected, but is believed to be of interest. The building is included on the list for its group value.
