Description

The Thomas Bradley memorial, located about 10 yards west of St Mary's Church in Chipping Norton, is a tall bale tomb commemorating Thomas Bradley, who died in 1746. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a moulded plinth and cornice, along with enriched panels. The end panels are adorned with swagged fruit in high relief, and the gadrooned bale has unusual end features crowning it at each end. This memorial is a notable example of a Cotswold country churchyard tomb.
