Description

No. 12 Market Square is a shop and dwelling built around the 18th century. It features a stuccoed front and a gabled stone slate roof with a brick chimney. The building has a one-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by a decorative fanlight, which is framed by a wooden architrave with narrow pilasters and a cornice. To the right, there is a canted bay window with sash windows and a moulded cornice, while the first floor has six-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
