Description

This is a row of three bale tombs located about 12 yards southeast of the south porch of St Mary's Church in Chipping Norton. They date from the early to mid-18th century and are associated with the Keck family. The tombs are made of ashlar stone and feature a chamfered plinth, a coved cornice, and panelled ends and sides. The middle tomb has a diamond panel on the east side, which was originally for a lost brass. Each tomb is topped with plain hipped wool bales. The Keck family is commemorated by several other memorials nearby.
