Description
Grandchester House is an early 19th-century house that has been later heightened. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble and features a slate roof that is concealed by a parapet. The building stands three storeys tall and has a symmetrical three-window range. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a reeded doorcase that includes corner roundels and a flat hood supported by consoles. The windows are sash style, complete with glazing bars and horns. Notably, a small central window on the first floor has been replaced by a bull's eye window with radial glazing bars, and there is another 20th-century window above it. The house also features two gable-end chimneys with twin shafts and rendered caps. The interior has not been inspected.
