Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof with a stone stack on the left end. The building has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. There is a timber lintel above a 20th-century three-light casement window, and a hood mould over a 17th-century four-light chamfered stone-mullioned window. Additionally, there is a 20th-century two-light half-dormer casement. A date plaque on the left is illegible. A similar two-light mullioned window is located in the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
