Description

This urn, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 330 meters southeast of the south front of Blenheim Palace. It is set on a tall tapered pedestal that features a moulded plinth and cornice, a fretted frieze, and carved trophies of musical instruments, including a lyre, cornetts, and Pan pipes. Blenheim Park, where the urn is situated, is included in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
