Description
The Swan Inn, Mill Cottage, and Mill are a public house and associated buildings, likely dating from the mid 18th century. They are constructed of coursed stone rubble with a stone slate roof and feature stone end stacks. The main building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range. There is a stable door in the center, with wood cross-windows on the ground floor to the left and right, and on the first floor, all featuring segmental stone heads. The building has two gabled full dormers with 20th-century two-light casements. Inside, there is an open fireplace on the ground floor to the left.
Attached to the left is Mill Cottage, which is also probably from the mid 18th century and made of coursed stone rubble with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a two-bay range. There is a stable door on the left side and 3-light wood mullion and transom windows on both the ground and first floors to the right, again with segmental stone heads. The cottage features a gabled dormer, but the interior has not been inspected.
To the left is the mill building, also likely from the mid 18th century, constructed of coursed stone rubble with a stone slate roof. This building is two storeys high with an attic and has a two-bay range with irregular fenestration of casements and plank doors. The interior has not been inspected.
