Description
Twelve Acre Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century and was remodeled in the late 18th century, with mid-19th century alterations and an extension on the right. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks. It has an L-plan layout with a rear left wing and stands two storeys tall, comprising a five-window range.
To the left, there is a mid-19th century four-panelled door with a trellised porch, while the mid-19th century extension has a timber lintel and hood mould over three-light sash windows. The left side features similar sashes with timber lintels and hood moulds, except for a flat stone arch and a mid-19th century two-light window in the left bay. The building also includes 17th century two-light stone-mullioned casement windows. The interior and rear have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
