Description

This is an 18th-century house, now a house and shop, located in Sheep Street, Charlbury. The house is constructed of coursed squared rubble, with timber lintels and a stone slate roof. It is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. The right-hand door is flanked by a 20th-century square-fronted shop window with glazing bars and two casement windows with glazing bars. The first floor has one window with sashes and glazing bars to the right, and two 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars to the left. There are two rendered gabled dormers with casements. A rear chimney is present. The interior features a 20th-century newel stair, which replaces an earlier one. Part of the house forms a flying freehold above part of Green Fingers Garden Shop.
