Description

This chest tomb, dating from the mid-18th century, is located about 10 yards east of the southeast end of the south aisle of St Mary's Church in Chipping Norton. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a moulded plinth and cornice. The tomb has oval side and end panels, with an illegible inscription framed by an enriched border, and corner quarter-balusters. At the time of the last survey, the tomb was noted to be in poor condition.
