Description

The Limes is a cottage dating to the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed colour-washed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and brick and rubble end chimneys. The cottage is two storeys high with two windows on the front. The upper floor has three-light casements with sloping tops above the eaves line. The ground floor windows are glazing-bar sashes with timber lintels, chamfered to the right. There is evidence of earlier windows having been blocked up. The central entrance has a four-panel door set within a heavy pilaster doorcase, topped by a flat hood supported on wooden brackets.
