Description

Bishop's Cottage and Two Chimneys is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the 17th century and has undergone later alterations. The building features a rendered plinth and large timber-framing with rendered infill, topped by a thatched hipped roof and various brick stacks. It is designed in an L-shape, with a single storey and attic, and has a three-window range. There is a plank door located on the left return. The windows are arranged irregularly and include casements, with bay windows on the ground floor and three swept dormers above. The left return displays timber-framing with brick infill and a 20th-century plain-tile roof. This section has a two-storey, three-window range and a single storey and attic bay to the left, with irregularly arranged 20th-century casements. The interiors have not been inspected.
