Description

This is a house, now divided into two dwellings, dating to the 17th century, with later 19th-century alterations and additions. The lower part of the building is painted brick, while the upper part has timber framing with arched braces on the first floor, filled with roughcast render. The roof is of old plain tiles, and there are brick end stacks. The original front has two floors and two windows. A plank door is located to the right of centre, covered by a 19th-century gabled hood supported by brackets. A 19th-century oriel window is positioned to the left of centre. A 20th-century door and open porch are on the left, alongside a 20th-century casement window. To the right is a 19th-century two-light casement with a wooden segmental head, and a 20th-century casement window is on the first floor to the left. A three-light wood mullion window sits on the first floor to the right. Later 19th-century additions extend to the left and right. These are single-storey, single-bay ranges with brick plinths, large timber framing, roughcast infill, and half-hipped roofs featuring bands of plain and fish-scale tiles. The interiors were not inspected.
