Description
The Mulberries is a house located on Main Street in East Hanney. It features a late 18th century front that likely covers an earlier structure, with a two-bay addition from the early 19th century on the left side. The building is constructed of red brick and has a slate roof with brick end stacks.
It is two stories high and has a three-window range. To the left, there is a 19th-century panelled and part-glazed door, flanked by lights, and set beneath a rectangular flat-roofed porch supported by painted Doric columns. The ground floor center has a 12-pane unhorned sash window with a rendered flat arch and a keystone above it. To the right, there is a 20th-century flat-roofed angled bay window featuring horned sashes. On the first floor, there are 12-pane unhorned sash windows with rendered flat arches and keystones.
The two-bay addition to the left is also made of red brick and has a hipped slate roof. It features 12-pane unhorned sash windows with rendered flat arches and keystones, except for the ground floor right window, which is a 20th-century flat-roofed angled bay with horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
