Description

GREAT COXWELL SU29SE Carter monument, approx. 4/116 15 metres north of junction of nave and chancel of Church of St Giles GV II

Chest tomb. c.1799. Stone. Moulded base. Fluted pilasters at corners. Moulded panels to sides with inscriptions on north and south sides. Moulded lid. Commemorates Thomas Carter; his widow Sarah, d.1799; and another person (name illegible), d.1817.
