Description
The George and Dragon Public House is a public house dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a rendered plinth and roughcast, likely built on timber-framing at the ground floor. Above, there is 19th-century false timber-framing with roughcast panels, also probably on timber-framing. The building has an old plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack at the center and an end stack to the left.
The structure is single storey with an attic and has a five-window range. There are four-panel doors located to the left of center, in the center, and to the right of center, all of which have overlights and gabled hoods. To the right, there is a plank door. The windows include 19th-century three-light casements to the left, left of center, and to the right of center, as well as a horizontal sliding sash to the right. There are five gabled dormers; the ones to the left and left of center have three-light casements, while those in the center, right of center, and to the right have two-light casements. Inside, much of the timber-framing is visible.
