Description

The aviary, located approximately 600 metres south west of Buckland House, was built around 1767, likely designed by John Wood the younger for Sir Robert Throckmorton. The structure features limestone ashlar on the front and coursed limestone rubble at the rear, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It has a tetrastyle prostyle design, showcasing Greek Doric columns on its pedimented facade and a lean-to roof. Inside, there is a limestone ashlar floor.
