Description
This building is a stable, house, and attached sheltershed, located approximately 75 meters southwest of Blewbury Manor. It is likely from the early 18th century and features a brick plinth, timber-framing with weatherboarding, and an old plain-tile half-hipped roof. The structure is two stories high and consists of a five-bay range. There are plank doors at the rear. Inside, it has an unusual form of Queen-post roof, with tie-beams positioned below the tops of the walls and curved queen-posts. The ground floor includes feeding racks. The cowman's house at one end has been converted into a house and is made of 20th-century red-brick with an old plain-tile roof and irregular 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected. There is also an attached 19th-century sheltershed that is oriented at right angles to the rear of the building.
