Description

The Mill, now a house, dates to the 18th century. It is constructed of brick, originally painted, with later 20th-century weatherboarding over the original mill-wheel site and an old tile roof. The building is two storeys and an attic, with a five-bay range. The front features segmental arches over a blocked doorway containing a 20th-century casement window, and another 20th-century casement window to the right. Segmental arches also define a blocked window. Timber lintels cover a first-floor loft door to the left and a 20th-century casement to the right. An 18th-century three-light casement window is located in the weatherboarded wall above the mill-race to the right. A 20th-century dormer has been added. The roof is half-hipped. A 20th-century lean-to has been built onto the rear. Inside, the building retains a collar-truss roof and original beams.
