Description
Priors Hold is a house dating from the late 17th century, with a one-bay extension added to the right in the mid 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick featuring flared headers and has a 20th-century tiled roof with brick stacks. The building has a four-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-window range. The entrance is marked by a pedimented surround that is interrupted by a fanlight above a six-panelled door. There are gauged brick flat arches over the sash windows, and a timber lintel with a segmental header arch above the mid 19th-century horned sashes in the right bay. A moulded brick string course runs along the façade. The roof is gabled with ridge stacks, and there are two roughcast wings at the rear, each with gabled 20th-century tiled roofs. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have panelled rooms.
