Description
This small house, which is now used as a store, was originally a cottage built in the late 17th century. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof, with part of the rear covered in iron sheeting. The roof is hipped to the right and gabled with a brick end stack on the left. The building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with a two-window range. There are timber lintels over a blocked door and flanking 20th-century three-light casement windows, along with a 17th-century three-light wood-mullioned ovolo-moulded half-dormer window. At the rear, there is a segmental brick arch over a doorway to the left of inserted garage doors. Inside, the left room features cased beams, winder stairs next to the fireplace, and a queen-post truss set on a timber-framed partition with wattle and daub infill. This building is included for its group value.
