Description

This is a 17th-century tombstone located approximately 2 metres east of the east end of the Church of St Giles in Great Coxwell. The tombstone dates from around 1679 and is made of stone. It has a short stature with a cusped top. The west face features two recessed panels, each topped with shouldered-pedimented heads and moulded borders. An hourglass is depicted above on the right, while a skull is shown above on the left. The panels contain a worn inscription, but the words "Buryed May 27, 1679" are still legible.
