Description

A house, built circa 1839 by I.K. Brunel, now divided into two dwellings. The building is constructed of ashlar limestone with a complex slate roof and stone stacks. It is in a Domestic Tudor style and has a complex L-shaped plan. The facade is two storeys and features a four-window range with irregular window placement. A C19 panelled door is located to the right of the end of the cross-wing. The building was part of a planning scheme for Steventon Station, which served Oxford until 1844, and was also used for board meetings of the Great Western Railway. The interior has not been inspected.
