Description
Manor Farmhouse is a Grade II* listed farmhouse built in 1691, as noted on a datestone that has recently disintegrated. The building is constructed of coursed rubble stone with dressed stone details, featuring moulded eaves and a hipped stone tiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with the south front displaying five bays, where the outer bays are closely spaced. There are two stone tiled gabled dormers with two-light casements, and the main façade includes four-light wooden mullioned and transomed leaded lights, along with a modern part-glazed door set in a moulded stone architrave, topped by a plain moulded hood supported by ornately carved brackets. The north front has similar window arrangements and a rear door with a plain flat hood and less ornate carved consoles. There are also two one-storey 20th-century additions on the east and west sides. Inside, the farmhouse features a contemporary staircase with a plain elm handrail and turned balusters, three wooden fireplaces with bolection friezes, and several cornices decorated with stylised foliage.
