Description
16 The Street is a building that consists of two cottages now combined into one house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a gabled roof made of Welsh slate. The house has two storeys and three bays, with brick stacks at each end. The ground floor windows are long, two-light, six-pane wooden casements with wooden lintels above them. There is also a plank door. Decorative string courses are created by rows of burnt headers. This building is noted as the best example in the village of the pre-Ernest George cottages and is included for its group value.
