Description
Stallpits Farmhouse is an early 19th century rebuilding of an earlier house. It was originally constructed from rubble stone but features 19th century brick dressings around the openings, a limewashed roughcast southern front, and gabled slate roofs with end brick stacks. The building has a T-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with a principal southern front that has three bays. The windows on this front are 8 x 8 pane sashes, while all other windows are 20th century small pane casements. There are steps leading up to a central door on the southern front, which has reeded panels and a four-light rectangular fanlight, sheltered by a Regency wrought iron porch that features lozenge patterning.
