Description

This is an outbuilding located approximately 40 metres north of Appleton House, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a pyramidal old tile roof. The building is one storey high and consists of a one-bay range. There are segmental brick arches over opposing doors in the front and rear walls, along with a brick ventilation slit at the front. Originally, this outbuilding was connected by a stone wall to another similar building to the northeast. These structures may have served as looseboxes for animals or possibly as twin gazebos. This outbuilding is included for its group value with Appleton House.
