Description

Ginge Brook Pottery is a water mill that has been converted into a pottery. It dates from the early 18th century, with a 19th-century encasement. The building features red brick with random flared headers in English bond on the ground floor, while the first floor is clad in weatherboarding over timber framing. It has an old plain-tile half-hipped roof. The structure is two stories high, with five bays and two windows. There is a plank door located to the left of the center, and two segmental-headed openings on the ground floor to the center and right, which have 20th-century glazing. The first floor has two 2-light wood casements. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams with round end-stops, and much of the mill machinery remains in place.
