Description

High Trees is a house dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a rendered exterior, likely over brick, and a Welsh slate roof, with brick ridge stacks positioned to the left and right of the center. The house has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-window range. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight, set within a square porch supported by Doric columns at the center. To the left and right, there are late 19th-century angled bay windows topped with hipped Welsh slate roofs and horned sash windows. The first floor has 16-pane unhorned sash windows. A dentil cornice runs along the eaves, and there are two 20th-century sloping roof lights. The pedimented gabled ends on the left and right returns also feature dentilled cornices. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
