Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with a 19th-century addition to the cross-wing at the rear. The building features render on brick on the left side of the ground floor and an uncoursed stone rubble plinth on the right. It has large timber framing with brick infill and an old plain-tile roof, with a centrally located brick ridge stack that has recessed panels. The layout is a two-unit lobby-entry plan with a cross-wing at the rear center. The farmhouse is two stories tall and has a two-window range. There is a part-glazed plank door at the center, sheltered by an open porch. The windows are irregularly placed casements, and on the left side, there are wood ovolo-moulded mullion windows. Inside, there is a straight-flight staircase and open fireplaces on the ground floor. The first-floor right features an open fireplace with a plaster overmantel that has three moulded panels with moulded surrounds. Additionally, there is a lattice screen leading to a probable former larder on the ground floor right.
