Description
This is a row of three cottages located on Mill Lane in Benson. They were built in 1820, as indicated by the brick datestone on the first floor of the left-hand cottage. The cottages are constructed of red brick with grey brick headers in a Flemish bond pattern, and have a plain-tile roof. A brick ridge stack is centrally positioned, with an end stack to the right. The cottages are two storeys high, with a three-window front. A 20th-century door is set within a round-topped opening on the left. The ground floor has three 16-pane sash windows, with a 12-pane sash with a round-topped opening to the left of centre and a 16-pane sash with a round-topped opening to the right. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected. A single-storey wing extends to the right. The cottages are included on the heritage register for their group value.
