Description
No. 12 High Street is an 18th-century house that has undergone some alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with red brick dressings and features an old plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The building is two stories high and has a four-window range.
The entrance is a six-panel door located to the left of the center, which has an overlight and a flat hood above it. To the right of the center, there are double plank doors. On the ground floor to the left, there are two four-pane sash windows with segmental brick heads. To the right, there is a tripartite sash window that also has glazing bars and a segmental brick head. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors.
On the first floor, to the left, there are two four-pane sashes with segmental brick heads, while the center features paired four-pane sashes with a segmental brick head. To the right, there is another tripartite sash window with glazing bars and a segmental brick head. The left return of the building has blocked segmental brick-headed openings. The interior has not been inspected.
