Description
Castle Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century, with a front added in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of grey brick with red brick dressings and features a plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The building stands three stories tall and has a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, which is framed by a moulded wood surround with panelled reveals and brackets that support a triangular pediment. On the ground floor, there are 12-pane sash windows on either side of the door. The first floor also has two 12-pane sashes, while the second floor features a central round-topped sash with nine panes. A brick band runs between the ground and first floors as well as between the first and second floors. The roof is topped with a parapet. The interior has been inspected.
